The knowledge and experience will allow students to develop cutting-edge solutions that address today’s challenges. Students equip with a solid foundation in Computing and Information Technology, applied knowledge, understanding and skills for a career in Computing and Information Technology across any sector. It is also developing a wide range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attributes essential for successful performance and immediate contribution to employment. This course is ideal for anyone at the beginning of their career or looking to improve their qualifications or career prospects in Computing and Information Technology and its related industries.

Eligibility

 Academic Requirement: 

• Obtained at least 2 GCE A-Level passes including Mathematics and *English; OR
• Obtained International Baccalaureate Diploma (at least 24 points) or other equivalent pre-university certifications; OR
• Completion of GSTM Diploma (Specialized in Computing and Information Technology) or equivalent; OR
• NUS High School Diploma; OR
• Polytechnic Diploma (e.g. Diploma in Business Information System/ Information Technology/ Computing related field); OR
• Other PEI qualification (e.g. Diploma in Business Information System/ Information Technology/ Computing related field that is equivalent to GSTM’s Diploma) will be assessed on a case by case basis; OR
• Matured student:  At least 30 years old with at least 8 years of relevant working experiences will be considered.

 

English Language Requirement:  

• *A pass in English at GCE ‘O’ Level, or IELTS 5.5 and or equivalent; OR 
• Completed a prior Diploma or equivalent where the medium of instruction is English

Graduates of this Specialist Diploma will be equipped with the  solid foundation in  Computing and Information Technology which enable them able to pursue a career in the Computing and Information Technology world (e.g. Junior IT Executive, Project Assistant (IT)) or to progress in the current areas or additional knowledge to excel in the workplace.  It also helps to you gain confidence and support a career change and get ready for further study in GSTM.
