Introduction

The Diploma (Specialized in Computing and Information Technology) is an initial qualification and solid foundation preparation for students who are aiming to embark in computing and information technology careers or further studies in computing and information technology.  This course gives students the flexibility they need to explore various aspects of computing and information technology in Singapore and worldwide. The course is a combination of academic skills and content-specific modules, providing an introductory grounding in computing and information technology, as well as challenging work on critical thinking, academic literacy and communication skills.

Eligibility

Academic Requirement: 

• Obtained 2 GCE' O' Levels passes *English and any 1 subject or equivalent: OR
  
• Nitec, Higher Nitec or equivalent; OR
  
• Matured student:  At least 30 years old with at least 8 years of relevant working experiences will be considered.

English Language Requirement: 

• *A pass in English at GCE' O' or IELTS 5.5 and or equivalent; OR 
• Completed a prior Diploma or equivalent where the medium of instruction is English

Academic Pathway

• Specialist Diploma in Computing and Information Technology or

Employability

Graduates of this Diploma will be equipped with the fundamental concepts in  Computing and Information Technology which enable them able to pursue a career in the Computing and Information Technology world (e.g. Junior IT Assistant) or to progress in the current areas or additional knowledge to excel in the workplace.  It also helps to you gain confidence and support a career change and get ready for further study in GSTM.
