Eligibility

  • GSTM Specialist & Advanced Diploma in Quantity Surveying; or
  • Relevant Pearson BTEC Level 5 HND Diploma (e.g. Construction and The Built Environment, etc.) or equivalent; or
  • Relevant Polytechnic Diploma (e.g. Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering with Business etc.) or equivalent; or
  • Other PEI qualification (e.g. BCA Diploma that are equivalent to GSTM’s Advanced and Specialist Diploma); OR
  • Matured students:  At least 30 years old with at least 8 years relevant working experiences (Construction Industry) and have obtained other Diploma qualification will be considered on a case to case basis.
  • Minimum requirement for English Language GCE C6 or IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL; or
  • Those who complete a diploma / degree in the medium of English, then we will accept the qualification as sufficient evidence of English language proficiency.
  • All applications are subjected to the approval of Birmingham City University.

Licensing of Builders & Public Sector Panels of Consultants


Licensing of Builders 

  • Students need to have at least 5 years (in aggregate) of practical experience in the execution of construction projects (whether in Singapore or elsewhere) after attaining the aforementioned program in order to apply to BCA as a General Builder GB Class 1 Technical Controller


Public Sector Panels of Consultants (PSPC) 

  • Recognised by BCA for the registration of QS in the Public Sector Panels of Consultants.

  • Accredited by The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB)
  • Eligible to apply for CIOB Student Membership

Duration: 
  • Full Time: 12  months (weekday)
  • Part Time: 15 months  (evening weekday / weekend)

Class Mode:
  • Full Time: 
    • Weekday  -10.30am to 12.30pm OR 10.30am to 1.30pm  OR  1.30am to  3.30pm OR 1.30pm to 4.30pm
  • Part Time:
    • Weekday -  7.00 pm to 10.00 pm  OR  
    • Weekend - 10.00 am to 1.00 pm  /  2.00 pm to 5.00pm/ 6.00pm to 9.00pm
