This is regardless of the recession in many countries. Many businesses throughout the world comment on the difficulty in finding experienced mechanical engineers. Due to this, the course is emphasising the development of practical skills and experimentation through the use of laboratories, industrial visits, etc.

Programme Specification & Synopsis
Eligibility
-
Completion of GSTM Specialist Diploma in Mechanical Engineering; OR
-
Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical Engineering; OR

Other recognised PEI qualification in a related discipline (e.g. Mechanical Engineering) that is assessed to be comparable in standard to a GSTM Specialist Diploma (EDP-Year 1 equivalent). For such EDP-Year 1 equivalence, the minimum entry requirement consists of GCE A-level qualifications or a recognised PEI Diploma pathway; OR

Matured student: At least 30 years old with at least 8 years relevant working experiences will be considered.
English Language Requirement:
- *A pass in English at GCE ‘O’ Level or IELTS 5.5 and or equivalent; OR
- Completed a prior Diploma or equivalent where the medium of instruction is English
- *A pass in English at GCE ‘O’ Level or IELTS 5.5 and or equivalent; OR

- Administrative Fee for Student Pass Application: $87.20
- ICA Application Fee: $45
- Issuance Student Visa: $60 / $90 (As stated in the In-Principle Approval letter from Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) Singapore.)
NOTE: All fees are inclusive of 9% GST

- Full Time: 10 months Institutional Learning and 6 months Industry Attachment (weekday)
- Part Time: 12 months Institutional Learning and 6 months Industry Attachment (evening weekday/weekend)
Class Mode
Full Time:
- Weekday - 9.00 am to 12.00 noon OR 1.00 pm to 4.00 pm
Part Time:
- Weekday - 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm OR
- Weekend - 10.00 am to 1.00 pm / 2:00pm to 5:00pm / 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm

Academic Pathway
