Electrical & Electronic engineering is a field of engineering that generally deals with the study and application of electricity, electronics, andelectromagnetism. This field first became an identifiable occupatiaon in the latter half of the 19th century after commercialization of the electrictelegraph, the telephone, and electric power distribution and use. Subsequently, broadcasting and recording media made electronics part of daily life. The invention of the transistor, and later the integrated circuit, brought down the cost of electronics to the point they can be used in almost any household object.
Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies the principles of engineering, physics, and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery. It is one of the oldest and broadest of the engineering disciplines.
